Nicole Nyqvist
About N

Nicole was born in 1974 and raised in the Netherlands. After having lived in New York in 1994, she moved to London to train as a theatre technician at Mountview Theatre School. She graduated in 1998 and in 1999 she was offered to work on her first West End production. She then continued to work on various West End shows, the Royal National Theatre, the Millennium Dome, as well as several productions across Europe.

After many years in the theatre business she started a degree in Product & Furniture Design at the London Metropolitan University to develop her creative skills. She left the technical world of theatre and graduated in 2007 from university.

During her final year at university Nicole joined an amateur singing group to get over her fear of singing in public. Something she had wanted to do for many years. As the course progressed it became clear that Nicole had a very strong voice and a natural feel for singing.

In the summer of 2007 Nicole and a few others were asked to perform at a charity concert at the Amadeus Centre in London. It was here that she performed her very first opera song as a lyric soprano, which can be seen on this website. Since then Nicole has performed a few times for people privately and in August 2008 she was invited to open and close a wedding ceremony at Chiswick House in London.

It wasn't until July 2008 that Nicole realised that singing is what she really wants to do. Since that moment she is starting to build her life's dream.
